Loving the skin you're in
If you've read any of my previous posts, or follow me on social media, or know me in general, then you know that i'm all about body positivity.
Society, the media and various shadowy cabals (looking at you Kardashians) would have us believe that we have to look a certain way to be happy or successful or popular. And like it or not, we listen to them.
We do the diets, the work-outs, drink the slimming teas . (don't drink the tea!) We do all this in the pursuit of the perfect selfie.
With my photography, I strive to make the men and women that come to me, feel comfortable in the skin they're in.
My boudoir experiences are some of my favourite photography jobs to do. Working with people who invite me into their homes or come to me to feel good about themselves is an incredible responsibility and huge position of trust.
Walking into the room and talking through the shoot with a client puts us both at ease. Going through wardrobe choices turns the shoot into a legitimate partnership. When you get into that point of the shoot where the model has shed their inhibitions and really finds themselves in the shoot, in the poses, thats where you realise that you've affected a change in someone's life if only for a short while.
Making people feel good about themselves is an awesome reward. Hearing a client tell me how much the experience meant to them.
If you'd like to have your very own boudoir experience, get in touch and lets make something special.
I'll be posting a series of boudoir stories, so I hope you'll join me on this journey of celebrating self love.
